UINDY INSTITUTE FOR CIVIC LEADERSHIP AND MAYORAL ARCHIVES BROCHURE
To preserve and showcase a rich collection of documents, papers, and artifacts donated by several Indianapolis mayors, UIndy established the Institute for Civic Leadership and Mayoral Archives (ICLMA). To promote the new initiative, I designed a uniquely sized, wire-bound brochure that combined tactile appeal with visual sophistication. The cover featured a blind-embossed letter “I” with the institute’s name printed in metallic silver ink to generate a subtle but striking impression. The oversized first page unfolded to reveal an introduction to ICLMA, while the remaining pages were narrower, aligning with the width of the cover and printed on a textured stock, evoking a sense of substance and historical significance. Targeting community leaders to help generate both corporate and individual financial support to help preserve the city's vital civic history, this piece was mailed in a custom envelope to create a cohesive, high-impact presentation.
