The Arts Council of Indianapolis, with support from Lilly Endowment Inc., established the competitive Creative Renewal Arts Fellowship (CRAF) program in 1999. Every two years, CRAF awards a select group of artists and arts administrators with $10,000 grants. I was hired to design this 60-page catalog to showcase the 40 talented creatives selected for the 2013–14 cohort: a group in which I was honored to be included. The purpose of this publication was to document each fellow’s activities, travels, and creative experiences. To reflect the spirit of the fellowship, the design aimed to blend imaginative expression with a refined, timeless aesthetic.
